Message Center

Messages is an internal communication system between you and your staff members inside of Kipu.

With Kipu messages, you can easily communicate forms that have a pending item and provide a link to the appropriate staff member or colleague to bring the form to complete. Every staff member inside your Kipu instance is easily accessible via the recipient drop-down list.

Using messages is also key to protecting HIPAA compliance. Unlike a regular email that could be inadvertently forwarded to any third party, all Kipu messages stay within Kipu, thus preventing any unauthorized disclosure of patient-related information. In addition, the message never becomes a part of the clinical record and can be archived once the action or information is contained or completed. Every segment of your process flow has the ability to confidentially communicate. Your UR department can message the clinician to update a patient’s file or the therapist can be advised that a treatment plan is required to be changed and notes have been entered. Additionally, you can embed links within the message, such as pointing to a treatment plan.

Notifications

Notifications is an important element inside of Kipu alerting you or your staff members of something that needs attention. For example, let’s say you’ve received lab results that still need to matched up to the patients’ charts. The lab flask icon adds a number to indicate the number of lab results that need your attention. Or let’s say you ran some reports that produced a PDF or Excel file that is now ready to be downloaded. The download icon will update with the number of items ready to be downloaded. Similarly, the patient transfer icon will indicate the number of patient transfers that need your attention.

It’s a very simple and intuitive way to interact with Kipu and by just one click, get to the productivity areas that need you or your staff’s attention.

But that’s not all. Kipu allows you to create different alerts and notifications to fit the needs of your organization. For example, Kipu provides you and your staff the ability to schedule each and every event in the episode of care as a notification through our integrated calendar. Our notifications engine is able to send a Kipu message or text message denoting upcoming group/individual sessions, treatment plan due dates, or any master calendar information requiring to follow up. Our system also has the ability to notify counselors or a primary therapist whenever a client is late to a session or misses it entirely. Information is live and utilized with our embedded systems like fingerprint scanning (coming soon) and immediate notification of a patient’s file. Being updated enables the growth of a fully efficient system. Kipu also allows for sending a refill notification to the pharmacy through e-script or e-fax. Our lab interface directly communicates with over 80 laboratories approved in Kipu and updates the patient file and notifies staff automatically. Our notification ability also extends past the clients. Advisements to staff for VOB orUR notification for concurrent review along with benefits termination dates or days left, keeps you apprised of all aspects of your business.
